For my choice project I chose to make a bowl, its about 4 1/2 inches tall and 5 inches wide. I made this bowl surprisingly fast, I was able to center it quickly and start pulling the wall easily. When I glazed it, I dipped it in white and flicked black glaze on it from a paint brush. I had never flicked glaze on a project before, but I found I really liked it. I think this project does a good job of demonstrating contrast and balance. This bowl turned out really good in my opinion and I really love it

This is my large bowl, it stands 8 inches tall and is 7 inches wide. This is my first big bowl that I have made, and making it I learned how to open the bowl up more without tearing the wall. I used sea mix clay and then glazed it white and black. I glazed the rim of the bowl black to give it a blue look and to demonstrate line and contrast. I love my bowl, and I love having projects I can use for dishes.
This is my hand and wheel project, it stands about 6 inches tall and is 4 1/2 inches wide. With this project I learned how to attach and make a handle, the hardest part of it was trying to figure out how to fit it on and re-wet it, because I left it out by mistake and it was originally to dry to attach. I glazed the project white and black to match my ongoing theme, I painted the whole project in multiple layers of white first and then painted one layer of black over the handle and top of the cup. I wanted to glaze it that way to demonstrate line and contrast. This project was my favorite to make and I really love it!
This is my planter, its about 4 inches tall and 6-7 inches wide. This was my first good planter that I have made, I learned how to pull the two walls better and make them more even and centered. For glazing, I used white and black glaze to create a blue dripping effect on the outside and inside walls demonstrating line. I decided to pull the outside wall away more to show the space in between the inside and outside walls. This is one of my favorite projects I have made, and I made it just for a baby plant that I got and need a planter for.
This is my lidded project, it's 7 inches tall and 4 inches wide. When I made the lid, I learned from another student how to shape and form the the handle and lip to fit the bottom. I decided to glaze it blue and white to create contrast in my project. Also, I glazed the lid white as well to unify the project. When I glazed this I wanted to add detail to it but still have it be simple, so I put a piece of tape in the middle of the pot and glazed over it to really show contrast from the pot versus the glaze.
This is my handle less cup, I chose not to put a handle on it because I wanted it to differ from my hand and wheel project. Its 5 1/2 inches tall and 2 1/2 inches wide. I chose to glaze it blue and shadow green on the outside and white on the inside to show value and color. At first I didn't like how this turned out but I have grown to love it.
