This is our group coil project, its 4 inches tall and about 4 inches wide. In my group was James, Hannah Green, and Abby. We all worked hard as a team to make this the best we could. Mostly they worked on the actual base and coils, and I worked on blending the inside and touch ups on the outside to the coils. When we glazed it, we decided to use shadow green and blue to show light and dark colors against each other. This coil was made to give to one of my friends, she LOVES the coil pots and the glazes we used and I am really excited to give it to her.

This is my second bowl, and it's about 4 inches tall and 51/2 inches wide. When I glazed this bowl my intent was to capture the ocean with different variations of blue. Instead this bowl to me represents a storm, a mixture of light and dark and in some places you can see the brush marks representing the wind. I used white and black glaze to make blue, the black showed more; creating a mixture of blue, white, gray and black. I worked really hard on this and am pretty happy with how it turned out.
This is my choice project, its 5 1/2 inches tall and 3 inches wide. When making this project I threw it on the wheel then pulled one side inside and the other out giving it the look of a leaf. I feel as if it expresses nature in a very artistic way that brings out the difference in how plants truly grow. I had so much fun making this project and really focused on shape and the glazing aspect. I glazed it with the intent of it looking like a leaf with green and brown glazes to show the change in color a leaf shows near the end of summer and more towards fall. I am very proud of how it turned out!!!
This is my first bowl. It's 4 inches tall and 5-6 inches long, it has a smooth surface and white and black glaze. When I made this bowl I used sea mix clay, because I knew that I wanted to glaze it with white. When I glazed my bowl I painted on several layers of white glaze then used the dropper to drip black glaze along the top off the bowl to make a cool blue. With this bowl I really wanted to define line and value. Through using the dropper to drip lines down the rim of the bowl and by using white and black glaze I think I have done that. I made this bowl for myself, I was originally going to give it away but I really like it so I decided to keep it for myself.
